2) WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A KO-NELAYAN FINANCING SCHEME?

3) HOW CAN I SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AND WHERE CAN I SEND THE APPLICATION FORM?
i. Application forms are available at the nearest Ko-Nelayan office or may be downloaded from the Ko-Nelayan website.
ii. Completed application forms may be submitted to any nearby Ko-Nelayan office.

Ko-Nelayan has been appointed as the Sole Wholesaler for the Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Scheme in the State of Sabah through the Special Cabinet Committee Meeting on Diesel Price and Supply.
2) WHO HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS THE SUPPLIER FOR THE FISHERMEN'S SUBSIDISED DIESEL SCHEME IN THE STATE OF SABAH?
The suppliers appointed for the Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Scheme in the State of Sabah are Shell Timur Sdn Bhd, Petronas Dagangan Berhad and Petron Oil (M) Sdn Bhd, through the Special Cabinet Committee Meeting on Diesel Price and Supply.
3) WHO HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS THE RETAILER FOR THE FISHERMEN'S SUBSIDISED DIESEL SCHEME IN THE STATE OF SABAH?
The appointed retailer for the Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Scheme in Malaysia is the Area Fishermen's Association (PNK), which covers Sabah and Sarawak, through the Special Cabinet Committee Meeting on Diesel Price and Supply.

The distribution of the Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel quota in the State of Sabah is based on the Depot Quota Approval Certificate under the Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Scheme and the Quota Approval Certificate for Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Sales Centres, issued by the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM), through approval from the Main Committee Meeting on the Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Scheme.
6) WHAT ARE THE MAIN REQUIREMENTS TO OPEN A JETTY FOR OPERATION AS A FISHERMEN'S SUBSIDISED DIESEL SALES CENTRE, AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
The main requirement is to submit an application and subsequently obtain approval from the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM), and the only party eligible to apply is an Area Fishermen's Association (PNK) that has been appointed as a Fishermen's Subsidised Diesel Retailer.
i. KO-NELAYAN provides Fisheries Complexes to help facilitate the daily activities of local fishermen. Among the facilities provided at the fisheries complexes
are catch landing centres, produce unloading, cold room storage, ice supply and diesel fuel supply. The fisheries complexes also provide
site facilities and business space to help improve the economy of the local fishermen community.
ii. Infrastructure assistance through the i-JETI scheme is also among the facilities provided free of
charge by Ko-Nelayan to fishing villages that meet the requirements and are deemed suitable.
2) WHERE ARE KO-NELAYAN'S FISHERIES COMPLEXES LOCATED?
At present, Ko-Nelayan has 2 Complexes and 6 Mini Fisheries Complexes that provide supporting infrastructure for the activities of the local fishermen community.

Applications may be made through the nearest district Ko-Nelayan office by completing the checklist for the "Ko-Nelayan Premises Rental Application Form".
4) HOW TO APPLY FOR THE I-JETI ASSISTANCE SCHEME?
Applications may be submitted through the nearest district Ko-Nelayan office by completing Form PK(O).KONEL.JT.03(L1) - "Application Form for the Fishing Village Basic Development Assistance Programme"
5) WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE I-JETI ASSISTANCE SCHEME?
i. An application letter from the JPKK Chairman or Village Head officially appointed by the Government is eligible to obtain the Application Form PK(O).KONEL.JT.03(L1).
ii. Priority under the Programme is given to coastal fishing villages. The number of fishermen must not be fewer than 10 persons and/or the number of boats must not be fewer than 10 units.
iii. The proposed site must not be located within an area of individual or company ownership, or within a Government-restricted area.
iv. The proposed structure must not contravene applicable Government regulations.
